A SCARCE 12mm PINFIRE AUTOMATIC EJECTION REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'DEGUELDRE PATENT', no visible serial number,
Belgian circa 1870, with blued two-stage 5 3/4in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving to top of breech, the left hand side of breech signed 'DEGUELDRE BREVETE', brushed bright articulated lever alongside the right hand side of barrel joined to the underside of barrel and front right hand side of frame drawing the barrel forwards along with the plain blued cylinder, automatically ejecting spent cases in the process that are retained by a fixed ring, loading aperture in the recoil shield with spring-clip cartridge retainer, borderline and scroll engraved open frame, chequered bag-shaped walnut grips, loose lanyard ring at heel and guarded trigger, much finish throughout
